Prevention

Don’t let it get to the point of no return, so lets look at some basic care methods to keep your rash guard from emitting the stench of rotten cabbages.

1.) As soon as you finish training, wrap your wet clothes inside a dry towel. This will soak up some of the moisture.

2.) Do not leave your clothes inside your training bag for hours. As soon as you get home, throw your used gear into the washer. The less time for the fibers to soak up all those smelly germs, the better.

3.) Some food packagings contain little silica bags. Put a few of those in your gym bag and they will soak up a lot of the moisture and odor.

You wake up the next day and you forgot to wash your clothes…

Rancid germs have eaten into the fabric of your rash guard. Now it reeks of hot trash even after you wash it a trillion times.

The solution is: vinegar.

Add four table spoons of vinegar to your detergent and repeat if necessary. After about 2 or 3 washing cycles even the most gnarly rashguard will be purged of bacterial odor.
